As part of preparations for the 20th anniversary celebration of ST Ann's Parish Obili, a team of workers headed by Mr John Sewoyebo (Lay Dominican) have started renovation works on Parish Church.

Placée sous le thème : « Paroisse Sainte Anne d’Obili: Une famille où l’on se connaît et où on s’aime», la célébration du 20ème anniversaire de notre Paroisse a été lancée le jeudi 13 Octobre lors de la messe de 18h présidée par le Père Constant AMOUSSOUGA SM, Curé de la Paroisse.

Formation year begins at SPC

The Marist Fathers District of Africa formation year 2011/2012 began at Maison Saint Pierre Chanel.

It started with a three days retreat (Oct 22-25) then followed by an opening Mass presided over by Fr Constant-Ephram Amoussouga SM Vicar of the District.

The formation year goes along side with the Philosophy studies at Institut Saint Joseph Mukassa. The opening Mass was presided over by Fr Louis Niyongabo SM.

The Marist Formation Community at SPC is made up of 11 students and 3 Formators from 5 different nationalities.

As for the students there are: 2 pre-novices and 9 Postulants studying philosophy (year 3 philo, 1; year 2 philo, 4; year 1 philo, 4). There are 10 Cameroonians (4 anglophones & 7 francophones) & 1 Senegalais.

The formation team is made up of Fr Raymond Pelletier SM, Superior (Canada), Fr Louis Niyongabo SM (Burundi), Fr
René Godard SM (Belgium) & Fr Constant Ephrem Amoussouga SM (Benin), spiritual directors.

Philosophy studies started at Institut St Joseph Mukassa on Oct 4, 2011. It is made up of students (seminarians) from 22 religious congragtions, and from 17 nationalities.

There are 84 students in year 1 philo, 74 in year 2 philo, 38 year 3 philo.

This was the followed by opening of the Academic year (philosophy studies)

L'année de formation commence à SPC

L'aiguille de l'horloge tourne de 12 à 12. Ainsi s'est achevée l'année académique 2010/2011 et une nouvelle année 2011/2012, débutée.

Le lancement de l'année académique et formation 2011/2012 s'est fait le 22 septembre 2011 avec comme préparation, une retaite de 3 jours (du 22 au 25 septembre 2011).

Une Messe d'ouverture de l'année académique à l'Institut de Philosophie Saint Joseph Mukassa célébrée le 03 Octobre 2011 par le Père Louis Niyongabo SM (membre du conseil d'administration de l'Institut).

Au niveau de la communuaté, les membres comptent 14: donc 3 formateurs et 11 étudients (2 pre-novices, 1 en 3e année de philo, 4 en 2e année, et 4 en 1ère année de philo). Ensemble 10 Camerounais (4 anglophones et 7 francophones) et 1 Sénégalais.

L'équipe de formation: Père Raymond Pelletier SM Supérieur (Canada), Père Louis Niyongabo SM (Burundi), Père René Godard SM (Belge), père spirituel et Père Constant-Ephrem Amoussouga SM (Bénin), père spirituel.

En résidence: Père Damien Diouf SM Supérieur du District.

Au niveau de l'Institut Saint Joseph Mukassa, les cours ont débuté le 04 Octobre 2011. Il compte 196 étudients venant de plus de 22 congrégations religieuses de 17 nationalités.

En 1ère année de Philo, 84 étudients, 2e année: 74, et 3e année: 38 étudients.
